  - First time? → `start/getting-started`, `start/setup`

- **"Why isn't X working?"** → Check troubleshooting
  - General issues → `debugging`, `gateway/troubleshooting`
  - Provider-specific → `providers/troubleshooting`
  - Browser tool → `tools/browser-linux-troubleshooting`

- **"How do I configure X?"** → Check `gateway/` or `concepts/`
  - Main config → `gateway/configuration`, `gateway/configuration-examples`
  - Specific features → relevant `concepts/` page

- **"What is X?"** → Check `concepts/`
  - Architecture, sessions, queues, models, etc.

- **"How do I automate X?"** → Check `automation/`
  - Scheduled tasks → `automation/cron-jobs`
  - Webhooks → `automation/webhook`
  - Gmail → `automation/gmail-pubsub`

- **"How do I install/deploy?"** → Check `install/` or `platforms/`
  - Docker → `install/docker`
  - Linux server → `platforms/linux`
  - macOS app → `platforms/macos`

## Available Scripts

All scripts are in `./scripts/`:

./scripts/recent.sh 7 # Docs updated in last N days
./scripts/fetch-doc.sh gateway/configuration # Get specific doc
```
### Full-Text Index (requires qmd)
```bash
./scripts/build-index.sh fetch # Download all docs
./scripts/build-index.sh build # Build search index
./scripts/build-index.sh search "webhook retry" # Semantic search
```
### Version Tracking
```bash

See `./snippets/common-configs.md` for ready-to-use configuration patterns:
- Provider setup (Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.)
- Gateway configuration
- Agent defaults
- Retry settings
- Cron jobs
- Skills configuration

## Workflow

1. **Identify the need** using the decision tree above
2. **Search** "if unsure: `./scripts/search.sh <keyword>`"
3. **Fetch the doc**: `./scripts/fetch-doc.sh <path>` or use browser
4. **Reference snippets** for config examples
5. **Cite the source URL** when answering

## Tips

- Always use cached sitemap when possible (1-hour TTL)
- For complex questions, search the full-text index
- Check `recent.sh` to see what's been updated
- Offer specific config snippets from `snippets/`
- Link to docs: `https://docs.openclaw.ai/<path>`

## Example Interactions

**User:** "How do I make my bot only respond when mentioned in Discord?"

**You:**
1. Fetch `providers/discord` doc
2. Find the `requireMention` setting
3. Provide the config snippet:
```json
{
  "discord": {
    "guilds": {
      "*": {
        "requireMention": true
      }
    }
  }
}
```
4. Link: https://docs.openclaw.ai/providers/discord

**User:** "What's new in the docs?"

**You:**
1. Run `./scripts/recent.sh 7`
2. Summarize recently updated pages
3. Offer to dive into any specific updates

SkillDescription
auto-updaterAutomatically update OpenClaw and selected skills once daily. Runs via cron, checks for updates, applies them, and messages the user with a summary of what changed.
autoresearch-loopDomain-agnostic metric-driven improvement loop, generalizing Karpathy's autoresearch. Use when you want an agent to discover what to measure for a project/goal, then run a keep-or-revert experiment loop that proposes changes, measures them against an objective, keeps wins, discards regressions, and records implemented improvements. Adapts to code perf-auditing, codegen, bug-finding, ad optimization, or any artifact + measurable objective + trial. Trigger: 'autoresearch this', 'find and implement improvements to X', 'discover metrics and optimize'.
clawdbot-release-checkCheck for new OpenClaw releases and notify once per new version.
command-creatorThis skill should be used when creating a Claude Code slash command. Use when users ask to "create a command", "make a slash command", "add a command", or want to document a workflow as a reusable command. Essential for creating optimized, agent-executable slash commands with proper structure and best practices.
context-recoveryAutomatically recover working context after session compaction or when continuation is implied but context is missing. Works across Discord, Slack, Telegram, Signal, and other supported channels.
design-auditPremium UI/UX design auditor with Jobs/Ive philosophy. Use when reviewing, evaluating, or elevating existing UI — triggers on "audit my design", "review UI", "make it feel premium", "design review", "UX audit", "elevate the design", "Jobs/Ive style", or when asked to improve visual quality of an existing interface without changing functionality.
elegant-reportsGenerate beautifully designed PDF reports with a Nordic/Scandinavian aesthetic. Use when creating polished executive briefings, analysis reports, or presentation-style PDF outputs from markdown and HTML via Nutrient DWS.
ga4Query Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data via the Analytics Data API. Use when you need to pull website analytics like top pages, traffic sources, user counts, sessions, conversions, or any GA4 metrics/dimensions. Supports custom date ranges and filtering.
gallery-scraperBulk download images from login-protected gallery websites using an attached browser session. Use when asked to scrape, download, or save images from authenticated gallery pages, extract full-size images from thumbnails, or batch download from multi-page galleries.
gongGong API for searching calls, transcripts, and conversation intelligence. Use when working with Gong call recordings, sales conversations, transcripts, meeting data, or conversation analytics. Supports listing calls, fetching transcripts, user management, and activity stats.
